The New Yorker
For the first time, the US Magazine The New Yorker required a sound identity and animated logo for their new video content division. In close collaboration with their New York team, I developed a minimalistic sound language, matching the clean yet iconic style of the magazine’s visual logo. The New Yorker’s audio logo is used across the video content on the New Yorker website and all of its social media content channels. New York-based design agency Hunter Gatherer created the logo animation.
Update: The above ident was in use for 4 years. I’ve since had the pleasure to update it again in 2019.
